Cycling is a phenomenon of the region. The backbone cycle path No. 4019 goes from Litomyšl to Bystré through Polička. This path is intersected or joined by other cycle paths (Nos. 4021 to 4028) of various lengths thus creating a dense network of routes. The routes lead you along small local roads to the most interesting spots of the region. The Association of Towns and Villages of the Smetana and Martinů´s Mother Region (founded in 1998) provided the marking of 150 kms of the cycle paths. The paths of the Region are marked in compliance with the relevant rules valid in the Czech Republic and they are part of the overall cycle path network.
